Denver — May 16, 2018 — Ping Identity, the leader in Identity Defined Security, today announced the public preview of the integration between its single sign-on (SSO) solution with Microsoft’s Azure Active Directory Connect. In a world where enterprises are transitioning to the cloud, IT teams are being stretched across on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Having this integrated solution available to customers today means that global organizations have more options to support their need for a hybrid IT model.
PingFederate, integrated with Azure AD and Office 365, provides customers with a modern identity and access management solution designed to meet complex enterprise demands. By connecting silos of identities and applications inside the enterprise and across partner organizations, PingFederate along with Azure AD enables SSO and identity federation. The solution can be deployed on-premises or in a private cloud, with many customers using PingFederate within Azure to secure applications throughout their infrastructure.
“Now, customers can easily federate legacy identity systems and data stores with Microsoft cloud services, such as Azure AD and Office 365, with greater flexibility in a fraction of the time,” said Loren Russon, vice president, product management, Ping Identity. “One of the great benefits of leveraging the integration between Ping Identity and Microsoft is the ability for customers to more easily manage their transition to identity services in the cloud, while also maintaining a hybrid IT environment for their other cloud applications and services.”
Cybersecurity firm Coalfire helps public and private sector organizations avert threats, reduce risk and turn security into a competitive advantage. Using PingFederate, the organization has implemented advanced authentication scenarios for a range of mission-critical applications, including Box and Office 365. "Coalfire employees now have secure and convenient access to critical tools like Office 365, allowing them to do their jobs more easily with seamless access to the apps they need, when they need them on any of their devices—all while strengthening security to meet the stringent requirements for the organization,” commented, Robert L. Flores, CIO, Coalfire.
“Azure Active Directory and Office 365 are among the fastest growing enterprise services in Microsoft history,” added Alex Simons, director of program management, Microsoft Identity Division. “We have hundreds of enterprise customers using PingFederate to provide SSO to Azure AD and Office 365. It’s used by so many enterprise customers that Ping Identity accounts for 30 percent more unique users than the next closest third-party option. By adding PingFederate configuration capabilities directly into Azure AD Connect, we’ve made it even easier for these kinds of large organizations to quickly get up and running with the Microsoft cloud.”
This announcement reinforces the long-standing relationship between Ping Identity and Microsoft. Starting initially with PingAccess for Azure Active Directory, today PingFederate is one of the preferred third party bridges to Azure AD.
